Businesses are becoming environmentally conscious and are taking necessary steps to reduce wastage resulting from their business operations. Consumers are also willing to cut back on the unnecessary boxes and paper waste accompanied with a product.
This has encouraged businesses to come up with innovative package-design that guarantees food-freshness, ingredient fortification and safe delivery. This also means that, marketers will use plastic or clear glass jar as the main source of information sharing with the consumer.
In other words, better on-pack marketing strategies have to be developed for the future.
E-packaging
More e-commerce opportunities will be explored in the future. Online businesses have made trade possible in far off locations and rural markets, which forced multiple brands to invest in online-retail forums as well.
Ease and large customer base may have attracted multiple brands, but these brands have to continuously compete with the physical-store experience. Absence of physical stores makes packaging the only source of customer experience.

This ideology is based on the consumer’s perception that the center of the store contains processed, canned, and junk food.
