Skip the Plastic Container

Choose UV Instead of Amber or Clear Glass Bottles

While glass containers do protect products against solid and gaseous contaminants, there’s one other element that has some ability to affect the concoction within: sunlight. Exposure to sunlight can cause the fragrance in your blend to break down, thus deteriorating its quality.

With clear or amber glass, sunlight is able to easily pass through the glass. This is where UV glass comes in handy, since it stops the harmful light from penetrating the container.

Keep it Airtight

Air is a natural enemy when it comes to perfume quality. When exposed to it, the perfume blend oxidizes quickly, losing its quality and smell. Cheaper quality bottles come with poorly fitted caps that either let the content drip or aren’t tight enough, which results in the perfume become stale and short-lasting.
