Eliminate Your Packaging Issues with Vented Liners
Packaging is as important to a product as its price, tangible features, and other features. You can’t expect a moisturizer to sell if it constantly leaks inside makeup pouches—no matter how effective it is. There is no secret recipe for the ideal packaging standards that you must follow. All it demands to be is aesthetically appealing, functional, and free of failures!
What are the common packaging failures?
You can neither compromise on the functionality nor on the aesthetic, or else the packaging won’t serve its due purpose. Common packaging malfunctions include bursting, leaking, bloating, and paneling. Under any of these conditions, the product loses its appeal to the consumer and contributes to losses for the company. The most troublesome of these failures is paneling.
Paneling takes place when the pressure inside a plastic bottle reduces and becomes lower than the air pressure outside. This causes the walls of the container to bend inward and partially collapse. As a result, the packaging looks aesthetically unappealing, distorted and puckered. Paneling also takes a toll on the labeling and makes it look wrinkled. This may mess up the words and make important information like the expiry date appear less prominent. Paneling can also take place if the excess oxygen that is usually in the headspace of the bottle has been absorbed by the contents of the bottle. This reaction can also cause pressure changes within the bottle.
The opposite of paneling is bloating. This happens when the pressure inside is greater than the ambient pressure outside. Paneling is more common among bio-diesels and cleaners whereas bloating is more prevalent among fertilizers and pesticides.
How do vented liners help?
Whether your containers have been affected by paneling or bloating, vented liners are just the right solution for both. These liners help the container breathe and help the air pass in and out of the container. As a result, the air inside and outside the plastic container becomes equal and comes to its pre-set standard value.
Vented liners provide an expansive suite of benefits for the business owner. Not only do they improve the safety of the product, but they also prevent leakages. As a result, there are fewer returns, rejected orders, and customer complains. They also help the container maintain their shape and this results in better aesthetics.
The liners are compatible with a wide range of closures including snap tops, discs, and continuous threads. The sizes range from 24 mm to 63 mm but are not available in every size in between.
